News is emerging from Sydney that an Aboriginal man has died after a police raid by Redfern police in Waterloo.

Breaking: A short press release by NSW police has confirmed reports on social media that a man has died after a police raid on a home in George st, Waterloo this morning. The release states that the 31 year old man allegedly fell from a balcony during the police visit just before 11 am.

Independent sources say that the Aboriginal man was being questioned over property offences when the incident occurred. Another witness alleged that police kicked down the mans door during the visit.

Update: It has now emerged that the man fell 13 floors from an apartment building during the police raid. More personal details which we don’t want to publish at this time can be found on an ABC news report here.
