Mark Latham yesterday took to twitter to express his displeasure of a state memorial service conducted in honour of the late Dr. G Yunupingu.
It also appears the former Labor leader has no intention of removing or apologising for his comments. Early yesterday morning Latham questioned why the ABC was live streaming the memorial service for a guy he claims “no one he knows has ever heard of”.
I don't know a single person who had ever heard of Dr G Yunupingu Why is the ABC obsessed with farewelling this guy who passed away in July?

It didn’t take long for the backlash to begin. One of the most notable people to criticise Latham was Indigenous rapper and Member for change, Senator Briggs.

In typical Australian fashion, the former Labor leader appears to have a lot of support for his comments with a number of followers hitting the love icon.
Latham was later ‘burnt’ in epic fashion by Ken McAlpine with the following tweet:
His debut album went triple platinum in Australia. You might have missed it while getting in a punch up at Hungry Jacks or something
