Vision of tie down roping star Cory Solomon has viewers questioning the ethics of officials after timing appeared to take an eternity to stop.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for Cory Solomon who clearly had his hands up and off the rope at the 5.8 second mark which should have seen the stop clock by at least the 6.10 or 6.20 second mark. Instead the clock didn’t stop until 6.45 seconds. Solomon had even begun to take steps away from the calf before the timer actually stopped. The costly mistiming meant Solomon only took out second place and resulted in him missing out on $100,000 in prize money.
Update: We can no longer find vision of this event.
First place and the winner of the $100,000 prize money went to last years winner, Marty Yates. Watch his 6.38 second run below and let us know what you think in the comments.
